Our Story
Founded by Isabelle Melton in 2015 to address a need in her local community, Montana Soccer Soles accepts donations of new or used soccer cleats and other soccer gear, which is then shared with kids who need it. We partner with soccer clubs to collect and organize soccer gear and make it easily available. Currently operating in Helena (affiliated with Helena Youth Soccer Association), Missoula (affiliated with Missoula Strikers), the Gallatin Valley (affiliated with Montana Surf), and Kalispell (affiliated with Flathead Valley United).
Montana Soccer Soles is also registered with the United Nations Division of Sustainable Development.
What Does Montana Soccer Soles Do?
We partner with local soccer club organizations to connect resources to players and players to the community. Right now, we work with the Helena Youth Soccer Association, Missoula Strikers, Montana Surf, and Flathead Valley United.
We organize donation and pick-up spots in the community. We provide bins and ensure the community knows about this resource. Further, Montana Soccer Soles staffs local events, such as tournaments and try-outs, to connect players to this resource.
Once we receive donations, we sort and clean the gear. Montana Soccer Soles provides gear for all ages at all levels of play. Soccer gear we have received includes cleats, shin guards, goalie gloves, warmups, and indoor shoes.
Montana Soccer Soles processes direct and specific requests for soccer gear. Through its partnerships, we help ensure that each player receives the gear they need to play soccer.
